Worst dryer I have ever had. Takes double the cycles of the old, front door never closed properly from the day it was installed, loud buzzer you can not turn off, and this is the first dryer I have ever had that does not remove lint and hair from the clothes while it is drying. GE quality has gone into the trash.

I literally cannot give a zero star review or I would. It's possible that the dryer is great. I wouldn't know because I had 1 delivered on 7/21 and as of 8/5 it is still completely unusable. Whether the drum came off the belt in production, store delivery, home delivery... I don't know. But the store that delivered it (Lowe's) won't replace it and GE can't seem to get a repairman out before a MONTH has passed with no dryer in my home. The issue happened the FIRST time the dryer was turned on- it was OBVIOUS the drum was off the belt. Since then it has been a circus of calling for help and repair/replacement of a BRAND NEW dryer that doesn't work. Absolutely unbelievable that this company doesn't back their appliances, retailers don't support the customer- unreal!! NEVER buy from GE or Lowe's because if you have a problem, it is 100% your problem

Our dryer died mid-load so I went to Lowe™™s to look for a new one that was 27™ wide or less that would fit. The GE one was one of 2 in the store that was the needed size and it was less expensive than the other one.

This is one of the loudest appliances I've ever been around. The dryer does dry clothes but the extremely loud buzzers make it a misery to be around. I only bought this dryer because it was the only one that fit in my utility room and it wasn't any cheaper than larger, better models. Looking back now, I should have just repaired my 18 yr old Fisher & Paykel washer & dryer and it would have been better. I wouldn't recommend this dryer to anyone.

The capacity, drying and heat have worked out fine, so far. However, the dryer outside body had a burr running along the seam that goes from right to left along the top flat panel that is next to the top panel where the dryer settings are. A user could possibly incur an abrasion or laceration while folding laundry on the dryer top. Also, there is a slight blemish in the finish on the dryer top. The delivery personnel did a fine job hauling out the old dryer and installing the new one.

The dryer works well, however the washing machine purchased and delivered at the same time had a problem with in a month. The lid lock switch broke ,went online Bodwell for service . Received a timely response of TWO WEEKS until I could get it repaired. I brought a OEM switch and replaced it myself. I cannot wait that long to be with out a machine. I sent a response back to the inquiry I received about what was the problem and at that time I said I didn™™t need service any longer because I repaired it myself. But on the day I got for service someone called and said they were on the way? I told him again I didn™™t need the repair.

This is the second dryer of this model. The first one lasted 8yrs and the only thing wrong is how tight the timer controls are. Wish it wasn't so tight other then that its a great dryer

Bought this as a replacement for an older "top of the line" dryer. It works great! Has a very large capacity, for such a small looking unit. It hooked right up to the existing dryer vent system, doesn't take long to dry just about anything. The controls are very simple to operate, temperature settings are easy to find and set. It is a very good, easy to use, compact dryer that is very quick to set up and start using right out of the box!

It gets a little hotter than expected even on Medium Settings, the reason for 4 Stars instead of 5 is not only this but also because the alarm on this unit is VERY loud and repeats before the timer ends and when the timer ends and you cannot disable this feature of the dryer. Self-Repair on this unit practically requires you to break down the whole thing in order to replace one simple part (Heating Element for example). All in all, it was a budget priced unit, and you get what you pay for. The drum capacity looks small when you first open it but it actually is not that small and will dry even large loads.

The dryer dries well, strong ventilation, runs quietly, bigger capacity than it looks. The alarm buzzer is not that loud, but loud enough and long enough you won't miss it and leave your clothes there for hours!

I was told By the delivery guy that I am missing apart . He said I was missing an adapter, a piece that is suppose to hold the venting hose to the back of the dryer. No one at Best Buy told me that, and it should have came with the dryer. Not if the driver kept it for them selves. Everything was out of the box, when they brought it in the appliances in the house.

I purchased my dryer in December of 2025. It has not even been 6 months and it has stopped working. First it stated over heating and would shut off, thankfully. Now it will not dry at all. I put 1 blouse and a shirt in and did not dry. Went to Lowe's where I purchased and was told that I needed to reach out to the GE. This is me reaching out. I need a working dryer. I've had this dryer for 4.5 years & it's still going strong. If you are a light sleeper, do laundry late at night, or don't like loud noises = THIS IS NOT THE DRYER FOR YOU. If I had known how loud the end of cycle signal was I wouldn't have bought this. It's literally like a siren in your home. This whole fixed end of signal thing is ridiculous as there's no need for this to be so loud. I've heard commercial dryers that were not this loud. But overall it's a simple unit and gets the job done. I haven't had any of my clothes damaged and the thing is easy to clean. I do wish there were more heat/fabric options but it gets the job done. Capacity wise it can handle a large amount of clothes and the depth of the drum is super reasonable for a small home. Vents are easy to clean

We've been using our new dryer for a month and we have used it almost every day. So far this dryer is exceptional just what we were looking for. A lot of people on the reviews that we checked said that the buzzer was too loud I find that it's just fine not that loud at all. I would recommend this dryer to anyone that was looking for a good dependable dryer.

Good dryer, simple to use, works well, and was the only dryer small enough to fit my space. Flat back design saves space. Only complaint: there is no way to silence the end-of-cycle buzzer, which is quite loud and goes off not once, but twice. Too loud for apartments and condos. It needs an ™off™ switch for the buzzer!

We love the fact that it has temperature sensors that sense when the clothes are dry. Our other (very old) dryer didn't, of course, and clothes were either not dry when they came out or super hot to the touch. Clothes now come out "just right." Barrel is roomy even though we had to get the "shallow" model to fit in our space. Only (small) complaint is that it has "warning" buzzers (3 of them!) to tell you when the dryer is nearly finished, and then finished. The buzzer is really loud! We wouldn't put the dryer on and go to bed because it would surely wake us up. Seems unnecessary. Maybe one small "ding" would be sufficient?

A solid basic dryer that runs quietly, efficiently and dries the clothes the first time through. Simple selection of settings for the type of drying required.Easy to clean lint screen. This is the first inside the door lint screen I have used and it took time learn putting it back in place smoothly. The instruction booklets are easy to understand and use. We are always pleased with our GE products and appliances. Very few issues and they run true.
