To tell you the truth, when I started looking at gas cooktops to replace my existing one,Bosch was not my first choice. There was no reason for this, except I had a couple of other brands in mind. When I began going to appliance stores in viewing the models, I begin disliking what I saw. Most of the models had grills that were so high I felt like I would be hot cooking at those cooktops and a lot of valuable heat would escape. I confess I wanted to like the way my cooktop looked as well as how it cooked. I was getting discouraged, and I walked around to the other aisle and there it was. My cooktop. I could actually visualize this in my kitchen and knew that it would give the look I wanted. The plus side was the brand name. Bosch is highly rated, and I made the purchase based on looks and high ratings. I have never had a cooktop with five burners. I am still figuring out which burner I want to use for different cooking projects. But I will say I love that middle burner with its extreme heat. I didn't know if I would, but I use it constantly. The only thing I would say is – the burn burner that runs second in the heat department should be at the front of the cooktop instead of the back right. I use that burner to cook things that may need to be cooked for several hours on a medium setting. I don't like having to reach across a smaller pot in front of it to stir or take a peek. I had to wonder if a man designed this. Because I don't think a cook, man or a woman would put it there. The simmer eye is interesting, and I have used it a few times. I have had this cooktop for six months. I am still experimenting with it, but I really like it and would give it five stars. I would like some tips on cleaning a stainless steel cooktop. I have never had one made of stainless steel before and I have trouble keeping the areas between the control knobs looking the way I want them. They are clean. But I can't get that smooth shiny look.

I love this new Bosch cooktop! The large center burner will get a huge pot of water boiling very quickly! Easy to clean and it is made very well. Only slight negitive is that the knobs have rather sharp edges. Not really all that bad but they should have rounded them off.

What I like about the cook top- Lights on the knobs that display which burners are hot. The knobs are snug so my cats can not step on them and turn the gas on. This happened with my prior kitchenaid cook top. Love the design of the metal rack system. Easy to remove all the cook top pieces to clean. Do not like- I have several imperfections in the metal that distract from the appearance. The metal is much harder to clean/shine than the material used in my old kitchenaid cooktop.

I had this stove delivered August 2, 2025. I am a single household 76 yrs old. I can't begin to tell you how dissatisfied I am with this stovetop. The metal scratches so easily. Even following all your cleaning methods. I wish I would have bought the all black one. I'm sure I would have been happier. I love my oven combo and built in refrigerator. Bosch was always on my Bucket List. Have to give an honest mixed review.

So excited to get a new cooktop!

Our original Bosch cooktop was 20 years old and had taken a beating. I had wanted to buy a new one but, because the old one worked, I just couldn't bring myself to spend the money. About a month in now with the new one, I keep asking ... why did I wait???? I love the 5 burners, the heavy grates, the consistency of gas delivery (which I now see my old one had come to lack). This one is also much easier to clean than the old one. I'm still trying to get used to how to turn the burners on (I don't seem to have the knack yet of when to push down and when to let go!) but I'm sure it will come naturally soon. The only thing I don't like is that I didn't realize the simmer burner would be a full-time simmer. I thought it would be a temperature setting on a large burner. I can't use it as a second large burner and sometimes having 1 large and 2 small just doesn't work (the 5th burner is actually too big for most of my pots). But, all things being equal, between what I love and what I was mistaken about ... and the cost (much less than I expected to spend) ... I couldn't be happier.

Our previous gas cooktops never held up well nor were their burners able to get the flame just right. We bought the BOSCH after comparing all the competitor models in the store. The 800 series gas cooktop has been a great update to our kitchen I looked at all other brands and found that Bosch to have the best quality and functionality the large center burner is great for fast cooking the grates are well placed from burners and remove easily for cleaning the 800 series is 1 inch wider then all other brands and installation was a breeze in my granite countertop instruction on conversion to LP gas was well written and easy to folllow

2 things need to improve to make installation better. First is the conversion from natural gas to propane. The numbers on the jets are so small you need a microscope to read them. It would be easy for Bosch to tag each one with a legible tag. Second, put some pictures of the installed burner plates so it is easy to see how the all go.

Center burner needs time to get used to flame adjustment. Front left burner has limited applications. Looks great. Workinmg well so far. Buyer hint- get install dimensions before purchase or run the risk of additional cut out if your old 30" takes less space which is what happened in my case. All 30" inch stove top are not the same dimension for installation. It could cost you additional money to install depending on your vebndor.

Easy to clean

It's nice to be able to cook something a second time and have it come out consistently well. The adjustable flames are a nice feature and I had always assumed that they all were that way. The burners are designed to stay clean and it's easy to keep the cooktop clean as everything comes apart easily with no tools needed. I've been cooking for 2 months now and the top still looks like the day it was installed.

Happy with this 30" cooktop. In hind-sight I wish I had gotten the 36" as the burners are close together (naturally) when you have multiple pots on the stove. Burners are accurate and efficent. Relatively easy to clean, though I am still getting used to stainless steel. I would purchase this again, but in the 36" size.

The cooktop is a great quality one, flameselect is very precise and I have achieved perfect dishes with it. It's also super easy to clean, and looks aesthetically great. Highly recommend

Knobs deteriorate

I installed the NGM8058UC model 9 months ago. The look is great and the performance has been disappointing. Middle burner is too hot at lowest setting when fully engaged (4) leaving only one burner option for large pans where I feel like I have good enough heat control. Biggest issue is the knobs whose plastic connection has crumbled in 4 of 5 knobs in just 9 months. I've had to spend 25 each to get them replaced. Bosch warns against removing these to clean, which I have been doing a couple times a month... so may be the issue. Either way, the knobs are very delicate and not cheap to replace.

I like the stovetop but some changes should be done on it like just move theright hand side big burner at front and left hand also same move the burner front one to back. Over all it is very nice and I love it

Great performance- difficult to keep clean

I bought this unit to replace an electric cooktop in my new home- it is lovely and it functions well. My only 'but' is that everytime I cook sometlhing and there is spatter or anything spills, cleaning it is a nightmare...I have had this issue with other gas cooktops- it is not only Bosch...
